About The Position

The Budd Group is seeking a high-energy Operations Supervisor to oversee janitorial excellence across multiple counties. This is a "player-coach" role—you will lead teams, manage client relationships, and jump in to ensure the job gets done to our high standards. This position is a primary pipeline for future management opportunities within the company. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the cleaning scope across various local sites. Duties include performing general cleaning tasks, coordinating employee workflows for special projects, and assisting the Account Manager in quality assurance. Flexibility is key, as you will fill in at any site as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: Professional janitorial experience is required.
  • Travel: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel between sites in Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, and Rockingham counties. (MVR check required).
  • Communication: Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions and understand identification numbers/volumes for cleaning solutions.
  • Adaptability: Must be willing to fill in at any site and handle changing schedules.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Environment: Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential exposure to infectious waste (standard safety and PPE training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Coordinate with employees to complete special tasks; assist management in resolving employee or customer issues.
  • General Operations: Perform cleaning duties including pulling trash, dusting, restroom sanitation, vacuuming, and sweeping/mopping around machinery.
  • Specialized Projects: Operate heavy equipment (wet vacuums, carpet extractors, floor buffers, auto-scrubbers); assist with event setups, furniture moving, and floor scrubbing.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Use pressure washers on concrete; clean storm drains, sidewalks, and utility areas; manage outside waste receptacles.
  • Advanced Sanitation: Apply disinfection and anti-microbial barrier technologies using proper PPE and dwell-time protocols.
  • Quality Control: Report malfunctions or maintenance problems to management; provide feedback on unique client requirements to help expand relationships.
