About The Position

We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to support a government contract at the United States Coast Guard Training Center located in Yorktown, VA at Lafayette Hall and Cain Hall. This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Your work will directly support the readiness, morale, and well-being of those who serve.

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily custodial operations across assigned facilities within the Training Center campus. This position ensures all cleaning and sanitization services are performed in accordance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial services required
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols
• Ability to work in a structured, government-regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and quality standards are met
• Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight to custodial personnel
• Document inspections, deficiencies, corrective actions, and performance metrics
• Address and resolve facility-related concerns in a timely and professional manner
