About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support mission-critical development efforts within a high-security federal environment. This role is ideal for candidates with 3+ years of experience who are looking to contribute to impactful, data-driven solutions supporting national geospatial initiatives. The selected candidate will join a collaborative technical team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that enable advanced analysis and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (required to start)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of professional Java development experience
  • Experience developing enterprise-level applications
  • Familiarity with object-oriented design principles
  • Experience working in Linux-based environments
  • Understanding of secure development practices

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments
  • Experience working within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency mission space or similar IC environments
  • Prior experience supporting classified federal programs

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications in a secure enterprise environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, analysts, and architects
  • Develop RESTful services and backend components to support data-intensive workflows
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and integration issues
  • Support deployment and sustainment of applications within classified environments
  • Contribute to system documentation and technical design discussions
