Our challenge We are seeking a talented Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Kafka, and Angular to build robust, scalable, and secure web applications. Candidate will work across the entire technology stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/ Dallas, TX is $95k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer with a strong understanding of Java 8, 11, and 17.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development with Angular.
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
  • Develop and implement front-end features utilizing Angular to create a seamless user experience.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and message brokers such as Kafka for efficient data processing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate them to improve application functionality and performance.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, system design, and documentation.
