About The Position

As a Java Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Asset and Wealth Management Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Strong skills around object oriented analysis and design (OOAD), data structures, algorithms, design patterns
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Key technologies Java (SpringBoot, Dropwizard or equivalent framework), Spring Boot, Containerisation(Docker and Kubernetes) and OracleDB
Hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development and WebSockets
Experience with messaging and integration frameworks like JMS,RabbitMQ, AMQP, MQ, Kafka
Experience developing with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, and Cucumber
Experience with JDBC/JPBA frameworks such as Hibernate or MyBatis
Experience with SQL databases such as Sybase and Oracle, with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, and tools such as Apache Spark
Ability to manage relationships with Business stakeholders. Organize and prioritize within complex delivery programs
Working experience in any public Cloud like AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud(Cloud Foundry)

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a financial services environment, with technology coaching and leadership to help team solve technology problems, and managing scrum (sprint planning, backlog grooming, taking retrospective etc.)
Understanding of security frameworks / standards
Proficient in a front end technology either React/ReactJS, Redux, Angular/AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, NodeJS, or other Web frameworks
Familiarity with container technologies and understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Work closely with the product team to understand the business requirements and user acceptance testing teams to support during UAT phase
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
