About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer in our Home Lending Group as part of Consumer Technology. In this role, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts. You will identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment. Additionally, you will design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. You will review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains. Presenting recommendations for resolving issues or escalating issues as needed to meet established service level agreements will also be part of your responsibilities. You will exercise some independent judgment while also developing an understanding of the given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements, and provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
  • Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years Java/J2EE development experience
  • 1+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience such as with Angular or React JS
  • 1+ years of Oracle Database experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in Web and Restful Services, TDD/BDD Automation
  • Knowledge in Java/J2EE experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Awareness of Cloud based tools, Azure and PCF
  • Knowledge of OpenShift Technologies
  • Knowledge of Micro Services, Mango DB, Kafka, APIGEE and other marketplace APIs
  • Experience in build and deploy tools such as Jenkins
  • Awareness of CI/CD processes in a large application environment
  • Experience of Monitoring and Logging tools such as Splunk
  • Knowledge of Selenium, Mockito, Cucumber and other Automation Tools and Techniques
  • Working in an Agile Scrum Environment with team of Engineers and Product Owner and Scrum master
  • Knowledge of Enterprise JIRA tools and GitHub and other source code management tools
  • Experience in using Co-Pilot and Prompt Engineering Techniques to develop Java Code, Unit Test Cases such as Junit and Karma/Jasmine Tests and Automated BDD test cases
  • Eager to learn and Innovate and knowledge of AI tools such as Tachyon and Agentic AI
