About The Position

MVE + Partners designs influential and award-winning projects throughout the world. Our practice is diverse with an eclectic portfolio of successful architecture, planning, and interior design assignments. Our team comprises a talented group of individuals, equally entranced by art, fashion, technology, business, education, sports, food, and above all – design. We are seeking a Job Captain to prepare complete and accurate architectural documents, coordinate engineering contract documents and project manuals, and collaborate with the Production Team across all project phases. You will work under the direction of Principals and Project Managers while directing team members and interfacing with clients.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional architecture office
  • Multi-family residential and mixed-use experience required
  • Advanced skills in Revit, CAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CBC, ADA, and relevant building codes
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Architect in California
  • Broad experience across various project types and phases
  • Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and check all construction documents for accuracy
  • Coordinate documents with internal team members and external consultants
  • Apply working knowledge of lighting, HVAC, structural, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and construction standards
  • Direct Production Team, assign tasks, and allocate resources
  • Facilitate communication among staff regarding project status, objectives, and performance
  • Interface with clients as directed and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction
  • Foster an atmosphere for learning and professional growth
  • Coordinate submission of documents to building departments
  • Support construction administration (RFIs, shop drawings, submittals)
  • Lead field survey teams for as-built documentation
  • Maintain, organize, and archive project files
