About The Position
Starpoint is seeking a caring and motivated Part-Time Job Coach to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving success in community employment. The Job Coach plays a vital role in helping individuals thrive in their jobs. This includes supporting day-to-day tasks, assisting with communication, advocating for accommodations, and working as a liaison between employees and employers.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and Colorado CAPS check
- Dependable, punctual, compassionate, and a strong communicator
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred (not required — training provided)
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in finding and maintaining meaningful employment in the community
- Assist with resumes, applications, and interview preparation
- Provide on-the-job coaching and help with workplace communication
- Support employers in creating inclusive workplaces
- Provide transportation to/from work or interviews as needed
- Complete required documentation and progress notes
