About The Position

We’re seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to support a growing client based near Glen Burnie, MD, with projects spanning across the DMV region (DC, Maryland, and Virginia). This is a full-time, field-based role ideal for a dependable electrician who is comfortable working independently while traveling to a variety of residential and/or commercial job sites. In this role, you’ll handle installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to code. The position offers the convenience of a company-provided service van, gas card, and EZ Pass, allowing you to travel directly between job sites with ease. Requirements

  • Must have your own tools
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen upon offer
  • Valid MD Journeyman and/or Master Electrician License
  • 5+ Years of Commercial and/or Residential electrician experience
  • Some managerial, leadership, or supervisor experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and support electricians and apprentices in the field, promoting strong performance, quality workmanship, and accountability.
  • Effectively split time between performing electrical work and managing crew responsibilities, adjusting involvement based on project scope and team size.
  • Review drawings, plans, and technical documents to organize work activities, align resources, and keep projects on track with established timelines.
  • Work closely with general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to maintain clear communication and ensure efficient jobsite execution.
  • Oversee the ordering, tracking, and availability of materials, tools, and equipment to support uninterrupted workflow.
  • Uphold all safety regulations and internal policies by performing routine inspections, leading safety meetings, and reinforcing best practices on site.
  • Keep detailed and accurate daily reports, including progress updates, field observations, and any jobsite issues or changes.
