Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the construction industry as an electrician
  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR)
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, construction specifications, and safety procedures
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
  • Pre-employment craft test, drug screen, physical, background check, and completion of safety training is a condition of employment
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, fixtures, control equipment, underground cables, and conduits
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute work accurately
  • Diagnose electrical issues and operate basic electrical test equipment
  • Work closely with superintendents, project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople
  • Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, etc.) and OSHA standards
  • Train and guide electrical helpers and apprentices
  • Ensure accurate reporting and accountability for tools, materials, and work quality
  • Perform terminations up to 1500V AC/DC
