About The Position
Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for federal construction projects at Camp Lejeune, NC. This is a long-term opportunity with consistent hours for skilled tradespeople who take pride in precision and quality work. Sheet Metal Mechanics will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal duct systems for commercial HVAC applications. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints and working independently on active construction sites.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sheet metal experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must pass pre-employment screenings for base access
- Reliable transportation and basic tools
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components
- Interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal materials
- Install hangers, supports, and duct systems
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
