About The Position

The Leidos FS2 Systems Engineering and Architecture team has an opening for a Software developer to modify existing code and integrate software solutions in support of the NGA. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of software development concepts and exceptional coding skills across different tools and projects in support of the mission. Primary Responsibilities C#/Java and JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Shell scripting. This role includes creation and documentation of new and existing functionality within software version control repositories (gitlab) and utilizing DevOps principals and tools to deliver new features within an Agile construct. Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, Increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing utilizing Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and ability to prototype and test solutions Participate and collaborate with team members to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria

Requirements

  • Experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and Gitlab version control
  • Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
  • Requires BS degree and 2+ years of experience or a Masters degree and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph post hire.
  • Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
  • Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

  • AWS Developer Solutions Mindset
  • Understanding of core AWS services, like compute, storage and be able to develop and deploy cores services (Lambda, EC2s).
  • Experience with REACT or modern JavaScript framework.
  • Experience with Python, C# development framework
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration
  • Experience with cyber security
  • AWS Solutions, Developer, DevOps certification
