About The Position

Ready to make the move to a new shop? Come check out our Castle Chevrolet location in Villa Park. We are hiring a Journeyman Technician who has worked with transmissions. We are offering a sign-on bonus and vacation match for a Journeyman Technician. What You'll Do As a Journeyman Technician you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. In your role as a Techncian, you'll collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide the most accurate information for the customer.

Requirements

Specific GM transmission technician experience
Experience working on transmissions
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
ASE certification required with A-level qualifications
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
