About The Position
Our client, a nationally recognized & prestigious law firm, seeks a junior associate with 2 -3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas of acquisition financing (leveraged finance), agented syndicated secured financing (cash flow or asset-based), fund finance, and/or healthcare financing, with a good knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC.
Requirements
- JD (Juris Doctor) Degree from an Ivy League &/or Prestigious Accredited Law School
- Active Illinois Bar Membership in Good Standing
- AM Law 100 – 200 experience preferred
- Must have strong drafting and negotiating skills
- Must possess a meaningful desire for client interactions & deal activities
- Should have an outgoing and engaging personality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare initial drafts of credit agreements, security agreements, guarantees, and legal opinions.
- Review lien searches, corporate organizational documents, and collateral-related documents.
- Perform research on UCC filing requirements, borrower regulations, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate deal timelines, manage signature pages, and facilitate the closing process.
- Perform additional tasks & duties as assigned.
