Jr. Network Technician
About The Position
Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure within Data Center environments. Support the delivery of consistent, sustainable solutions and processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Provide clear, structured updates on project status to stakeholders. Maintain high-quality workmanship and uphold Data Center cleanliness standards. Adhere to all production, safety, and quality guidelines, codes, and industry best practices. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve project challenges. Read and interpret blueprints, building documentation, and redline drawings. Maintain a broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
Requirements
- Proficient with basic telecom hand tools.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Solid knowledge of job safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans.
- Familiarity with wiring schemes and cable testing procedures.
- Ability to pull various types of low-voltage cabling.
- Skilled in performing field terminations and labeling.
- Reports to the Operations Manager and follows daily direction from Technician through Advanced Senior Technician levels.
- Able to maintain organized paperwork and manage service jobs independently.
- Capable of laying out MDF and IDF closets, dressing cables, and performing all types of terminations.
- Experienced working in Data Center environments.
- Able to install ladder racks and seismic bracing both above and below raised floors.
