We are currently recruiting a Junior Accountant to join a growing team of professionals. This Accountant will be responsible for all the accounting activities related to the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a high-profile role with a lot of variety day-to-day. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Independent: guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done while asking questions as needed
  • Analytical: determine the essential function of each task in a detailed, goal-driven manner with strong multitasking abilities
  • Office software acumen: comfortable with a wide variety of software including, but not limited to Microsoft Suite, Google applications, and relevant databases
  • Communication: express ideas clearly in both written and verbal correspondence, listen effectively, and share information appropriately with persons inside and outside the organization
  • Drive to learn: passion for self-education and the mental agility to quickly understand new principles and concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Generate journal entries and perform entry reclassifications along with daily reporting
  • Manage debt and lease obligations and related paperwork
  • Perform variance analysis and report results with relevant insights to senior leadership
  • Identify appropriate process improvements and present a plan for developing efficiencies while troubleshooting any issues that arise
  • Recommend solutions to integrate changes within accounting standards and regulations
  • Work with auditors to gather data needed for year-end audit
  • Assist financial leadership with the annual planning process
  • Balance AR
  • Manage deferred debt expense, interest expense, and accruals
  • Assist with month-end close through preparing journal entries, reviewing financial results, analyzing budget variances, and completing the financial reporting
  • Create customized financial reports, recommend process improvements to optimize month-end close
  • Manage all aspects of the month-end close process
