Junior Camp Counselors
About The Position
CITY OF NOVI seeks Camp Lakeshore and Camp PowerPlay Junior Counselors (June-August) for full-time positions charged with providing a quality experience for children ages 6- 12. The position will work with a staff of 7 to 16 to provide 50 to 75 campers a week to provide a safe, growing, fun camp experience and work with other staff in a supportive manner. Please see the full job description to learn more regarding responsibilities and essential duties. This position will report to the Head Counselor and the Recreation Supervisor. Training and Camp: Orientation in late May/early June. 37-40 hours per week throughout the summer with last days in August.) Pay: $15.50 per hour Interviews will take place virtually starting in March.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Have experience working with children
- Ability to work in the outdoors comfortably
- Must be enthusiastic and dependable
- CPR & First Aid certification required (provided by the department.)
