Junior Civil & Structural Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking detail-oriented and analytical Junior Civil and Structural Engineers to join our team in Rockville, MD/the DMV area. The location will be determined based on site/client office location per opportunity. Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirements Perform engineering calculations and analyze data to support project designs Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on various aspects of civil, structural or related engineering projects Assist in the preparation of project reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures Stay updated on local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution
- 0-4 years of experience in civil engineering projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of local building codes and regulations
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and environmental regulations
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
