About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a Junior Corporate Associate to join its Technology, Outsourcing, Procurement & Privacy group in the Washington, DC office. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off. Requirements

You have one to three years of meaningful experience in communications law and data privacy law with a background that includes experience advising on communications and consumer protection/privacy regulatory matters, as well as exposure to transactional, litigation, and/or enforcement matters.
Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility and willingness to obtain admission, is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on matters involving emerging technologies, digital platforms, broadband, telecommunications, advertising and/or data-driven products and services is highly desirable; while also demonstrating a strong interest in communications and technology issues, including evolving regulatory frameworks.
Experience with federal and state privacy laws, children’s privacy laws, the GDPR, and related data protection regimes is preferred, and familiarity with regulatory compliance programs, investigations, and government enforcement is a plus.
An IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT) is also a plus.
