About The Position

As an Estimator at Tutor Perini Building Corp, reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, you will have the opportunity to: Assist with review, interpret, quantify, and accurately estimates cost of assigned projects Help identify and mitigate project related risk. Solicit, collect and critically analyze Subcontractor/Vendor budgets, bids or quotations associated with assigned projects or packages. Assist with coordination of the delivery of appropriate project files for assigned projects to Operations Staff during a project turnover meeting using the Turnover Meeting Agenda and Checklist. Participate and coordinate participation of project estimating team in the buyout process with operations. Assist with the creation of professional, accurate reports and correspondence related to this position including project clarifications, cover letters, transmittals, client and subcontractor correspondence, inter-office correspondence, e-mail, etc. Assist with completion of paperwork for bids or proposals. Visit Tutor Perini Building Corp. project sites as frequently as practical to observe construction operations at various phases and becomes familiar with jobsite logistics, means and methods, and Operations personnel. Requirements

• Working towards obtaining a Bachelor degree in Construction Management.
• Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner’s representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations.
• Capable of effectively working within a cohesive estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable.
• Procore, Bluebeam and P6 experience required.
