Junior Formulation Chemist
About The Position
We have an immediate opening for a Junior Formulation Chemist on 1st shift at our Port Washington, WI location. The Junior Formulation Chemist will support the Research and Development Manager in development of Retail product formulations while providing scale-up, purchasing support, and production support for current products (Both Retail and Contract). Essential Functions: Product Development Industry Segments Household Industrial Personal Care and Cosmetic OTC Product Categories Wet Wipes Liquids Dry Converted Products Sustainability Reporting and Initiatives Conduct Film Stability Studies Conduct Product Stability Studies Formulation Library Development and Maintenance Support Production Investigations OOS Efficiency/Optimization Efforts Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Requires a four-year college degree with a strong emphasis in Chemistry.
- Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Must have excellent communications skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
- Requires the strong organizational and time-management skills along with good attention to detail and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as the ability to apply such concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), Microsoft Outlook, and statistical analysis software.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
