About the position

One of our companies is currently looking for a Junior Frontend Software Engineer, MyLexia in the United States. We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Frontend Software Engineer to join a dynamic team working on educational web applications. This role focuses on building and maintaining single-page applications, contributing to both the development of new features and the modernization of an existing platform. You'll work with Angular and TypeScript, collaborating closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to create high-impact tools for educators. This is an ideal opportunity for early-career engineers eager to grow their technical skills while contributing to meaningful work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new user interface components and reports using Angular and TypeScript for a suite of educational applications.
  • Assist in the migration of legacy code from AngularJS to the latest Angular framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to translate requirements into functional software.
  • Participate in agile development practices such as daily standups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by learning new tools and sharing knowledge with peers.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through documentation and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in web application development.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Experience building and maintaining Single Page Applications (SPAs).
  • Proficiency with modern build tools like Webpack, npm, or Vite.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TypeScript, Angular, component libraries, or backend technologies such as PHP, Java, or Python.
