About The Position

This role is working on a hybrid basis, consisting of approximately 2 days in the London office each week. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic junior mobile developer to join our team and help build native iOS and Android apps, working with Swift (SwiftUI) and Kotlin (Compose). Previous experience with these technologies is helpful but not required - we are looking for someone who is keen to learn and grow. You will have the opportunity to: Design and implement new user interface components. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to build new features. Learn how to render high resolution video and manage large sets of data efficiently. At Avigilon Alta, you will make a defining contribution to the development of our products, by: Writing clean, maintainable code and learning best practices from experienced developers. Contributing ideas to improve our processes and tools. Staying updated with new trends in mobile development and sharing your thoughts with the team. While this role focuses on mobile app development, there is scope for using technologies across the stack - such as Vue, Typescript, and Go.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of a general-purpose programming language, especially any of: Swift, Kotlin, Go, Javascript, HTML or CSS
  • Experience designing or developing front-end applications.
  • Experience using Version Control Software such as Git as part of working in a team.
  • You will also have achieved excellent academic results at a recognised university or are able to demonstrate outstanding technical skills, and be proficient in English.
  • We are looking for a team player who enjoys solving complex problems and thrives working autonomously, while not afraid to ask for input and learn from their teammates if they're stuck.
