About The Position

300Brand is seeking a Junior PR Account Executive with 1–2 years of full-time, post-graduate public relations experience to support public relations and earned media programs for our government IT clients. Candidates must have already completed their bachelor’s degree. This is not a campus or upcoming graduate role. This position is designed for early-career PR professionals who have hands-on experience drafting press materials and supporting media outreach in a professional setting. Digital-only or social media–focused experience is not sufficient for this position. Location: Alexandria, Va. (hybrid) Classification: Regular, full-time, salaried, non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of full-time, post-graduate public relations experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree completed; PR, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated involvement in media outreach, pitching, press materials development, or earned media support
  • Strong writing and editing skills in a professional setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams
  • Comfort participating in client communications
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to take feedback
  • Interest in media relations, storytelling, and public affairs
  • Comfort using collaboration tools and marketing/PR technology platforms
  • Internships alone are not sufficient for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, editing and refining written content such as press releases, media pitches, bylines, and client communications
  • Executing media outreach under senior guidance, including pitching reporters and tracking follow-ups
  • Supporting interview coordination and maintaining outreach status documents
  • Monitoring media coverage and contributing to performance reporting
  • Participating in client calls and providing updates on outreach progress
  • Researching reporters, outlets, legislation, and industry trends to inform PR strategy
  • Managing timelines, deadlines, and account documentation independently
  • Contributing to digital content initiatives including website copy, campaign materials, and social media content
  • Coordinating deliverables and timelines with internal creative, research, digital, and content teams
  • Developing familiarity with government and enterprise technology topics
  • Collaborating across teams to ensure high-quality client delivery
  • Managing project details and deadlines independently
  • Participating in internal trainings and team meetings
