About The Position

The Arc of San Diego is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team for a temporary 6‑month assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR or recruiting career who wants hands‑on experience in a mission‑driven organization. Schedule: Mon- Fri 8a-4:30p Pay: The pay for this position is $22-$23 per hour.

Requirements

• 1+ year of HR, recruiting, or administrative support experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and know when to seek guidance
• Experience with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Manage a smaller caseload of open positions while performing key administrative recruiting tasks
• Post and update job ads on internal and external job boards
• Screen applications and conduct initial phone screens
• Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates and hiring managers
• Participate in interviews alongside senior recruiters or hiring managers
• Perform reference checks and assist with offer letters and pre‑employment steps
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS
• Create flyers and recruitment materials
• Assist with job fairs, hiring events, and onboarding activities
