As our project volume continues to expand we're looking for a motivated and detail oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. Summary of Position Requirements The Junior Estimator supports the estimating department by gathering information, preparing cost estimates, and assisting with proposal development for commercial sign fabrication and installation projects. This role is ideal for someone detail oriented organized and eager to learn the signage industry. Location: This position is based in Deerfield Beach, FL with hybrid and remote options available depending upon experience

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (associate’s degree or technical training preferred).
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic Office software.
  • Ability to read or willingness to learn to read construction drawings, site plans, & design documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the sign industry, construction estimating or related fields (electrical, fabrication, graphics, installation).
  • Familiarity with sign types (Channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, vinyl graphics, wayfinding, etc.)
  • Experience with estimating software, CAD, or Graphic design programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for sign fabrication, installation, service work, and permitting.
  • Review architectural drawings, site photos, surveys, and client specifications to determine scope of work
  • Perform material take-offs and calculate labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes (fabrication materials, crane services, electrical, permitting, etc.)
  • Help develop bib proposals, budgets, and project pricing packages
  • Maintained organized bid files estimate logs, and supporting documents
  • Help prepare drawings, concept renderings, and installation instructions in coordination with design and production teams.
  • Assist in revising estimates as scoop changes or additional information becomes available
  • Track bid due dates, addenda, and client communications
  • Communicate with customers, general contractors, and internal teams to clarify project details.
  • Assist with answering pricing questions and supporting staff Assist in answering pricing questions and supporting sales staff.
