We are seeking an inquisitive and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is a key player in the accounting team and will work to optimize processes across financial reporting, purchase order management, vendor reconciliations, and finance. The Junior Staff Accountant will conduct research, with critical thinking and analysis to resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate to internal and external parties. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices to ensure on-time payments, maintain vendor files, process disbursements The role supports the Finance & Accounting department developing and maintaining key reports, and assisting with general full-cycle accounting functions. The Junior Accountant also provides essential backup for critical accounting tasks and contributes to process improvements, automation, and ERP system (S4HANA) implementation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–6 years of experience in accounting operations, staff accountant, accounts payable, or similar roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounting and finance functions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, customer service, and operations to ensure alignment and streamlined processes.
  • Conduct monthly vendor statement reviews, reconciling vendor statements to SAP records.
  • Verify and enter invoices into the accounts payable system.
  • Accurate and timely processing of invoices with supporting documentation and approvals.
  • Prepare and process weekly payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Review and reconcile expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Prepare aging reports and analyze outstanding payables and receivables.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and intercompany payment arrangements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial entries and vendor accounts.
  • Assist with ensuring invoices and vendor communications are routed and addressed.
  • Support general full-cycle accounting as needed.
