About The Position

TSC is seeking a junior Systems Engineer that will work with a Senior Systems engineer in the architecture development and implementation of RF systems for the military market. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional to gain valuable experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The candidate should have a good theoretical understanding of real-time signal and data processing and should be able to work semi-autonomously on complex analysis tasks. Experience with RF and/or digital hardware design and integration is a plus. TSC offers a professional working environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent benefits package.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering or a relevant technical/engineering discipline.
  • Some knowledge of programming in C/C++
  • Familiar with computer algebra software such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, or Maple
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of system architectures and component specifications through trade studies and analysis under the supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Work in a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to solve complex problems.
  • Work with experienced engineers to implement real-time embedded software architectures.
  • Work with system engineers, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to design, implement, and debug signal processing algorithms using the latest embedded processors.
  • Support development of new technology with senior engineer.
  • Support integration and test activities associated with radar components and systems, in the lab setting and in the field.
  • Support detailed measurement and verification activities using RF, digital, and custom test equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and radar repeaters.
