About The Position

PIXCEL ( https://www.pixcel.com ) develops novel semiconductor-based photonic modules aimed at sensing and imaging applications. What you'll do: You will be responsible for supporting engineering development of photonics modules. You will: · Build optoelectronic test setups · Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and reworking of PCBAs · Characterize optical device · Collect module performance and reliability data · Assist in failure analysis activities Who you'll work with: You will be part of a multi-disciplinary start-up team, including optical, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers. You will work closely with PIXCEL’s silicon photonics development leads. The position is on-site in Matawan, NJ. Requirements: · B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent with 2+ years industry experience · Prior experience with optoelectronic testing · Prior experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and debugging · Ability to work with small-scale devices in a lab setting · Knowledge of fiber optics and related test equipment · Ability to code in Python and/or C# for lab automation is a plus · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills $100,000 - $120,000 a year We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent with 2+ years industry experience
Prior experience with optoelectronic testing
Prior experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and debugging
Ability to work with small-scale devices in a lab setting
Knowledge of fiber optics and related test equipment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
