Key Responsibilities: Provide Vision and Leadership for Journey Kids Lead and champion the vision, culture, and strategy of Journey Kids across all campuses, ensuring the ministry aligns with the overall mission and values of Journey Church. Oversee Multi Campus Kids Ministry Operations Ensure all Journey Kids environments across locations run with excellence, consistency, safety, and engaging programming for children and families. Recruit, Train, and Develop Volunteer Teams Build strong volunteer teams by recruiting, equipping, and developing leaders who can effectively serve in classrooms, check in, worship, and support roles. Lead and Develop Campus Kids Leaders Provide coaching, support, and leadership development for campus Kids Coordinators or leaders to help them grow in leadership and ministry effectiveness. Oversee the Health and Culture of the Kids Staff Team Cultivate a healthy, unified culture among Kids staff across campuses by investing in team development, clear communication, spiritual growth, and leadership alignment. Create Excellent and Engaging Kids Experiences Ensure each weekend service delivers a fun, safe, and spiritually impactful environment where kids can learn about Jesus in an age appropriate and engaging way. Develop Discipleship Pathways for Kids and Families Help create clear next steps for spiritual growth including salvation, baptism, scripture engagement, and family discipleship. Maintain Safe and Secure Environments Ensure all safety policies, background checks, and child protection procedures are consistently followed across every campus. Collaborate with Next Gen and Church Leadership Work closely with the Next Gen Pastor and other ministry leaders to align programming, events, and discipleship strategies Plan and Execute Key Kids Ministry Events Oversee large scale ministry moments such as camps, family events, holiday services, and outreach initiatives that engage kids and their families. Measure and Improve Ministry Effectiveness Track attendance, volunteer engagement, and ministry impact to continually improve the effectiveness and reach of Journey Kids. Spiritual Criteria: Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior Spiritually mature: models the lifestyle of a passionate follower of Jesus Enthusiastically models God’s vision for Journey Church Models standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Church Experience: Multiple year’s experience in ministry or church vocational work is preferred Experience in a multisite church Experience in organizing multiple projects and events Organized; flexible; able to Multitask Exemplary oral & written skills As a staff member of Journey Church, I consider it an honor to commit to the following standards: I commit to living out the Staff Core Values; I commit to leading small groups at Journey Church I commit to attending Journey Church services; I commit to tithe to Journey Church.
