Kill Vehicle Project Manager
About The Position
Quantum Space is redefining mobility and maneuverability in space. Our high-mobility spacecraft platforms support national security, civil, and commercial missions with unmatched flexibility and propulsion capability. We build fast and iterate quickly. We are seeking a Kill Vehicle Project Manager to lead cost, schedule, and technical execution of a high-performance space vehicle supporting missile defense and national security space programs. This role owns end-to-end delivery, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, integration, and test teams to meet aggressive development and flight-readiness milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of aerospace or defense project/program management experience.
- Experience delivering high-performance systems, flight hardware, or weapon-class systems.
- Strong execution discipline with ownership of schedules and budgets.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Nice To Haves
- Missile defense or interceptor vehicle experience.
- Experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) integration or high-dynamic systems.
- Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Own execution of the SBI Kill Vehicle from design through build, integration, and test.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance hardware on aggressive schedules.
- Drive integrated plans, schedules, budgets, and technical performance tracking.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain mission objectives.
- Support design reviews, test readiness, and stakeholder engagement as needed.
