About The Position
Join our Kindercamp team this summer! The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for high energy Assistant Early Childhood Teachers with a passion for guiding children through fun, enriching activities. Strong customer service skills and a positive work attitude are a must, as you will be a role model for little ones. Help build an environment where children can sing camp songs, explore the world with nature walks, and learn about arts and humanities. We also offer extensive training and learning opportunities to allow teachers to advance in their early childhood career. The salary range is $16.82-$20.00 per hour. Salary is based on experience and availability plus a 10% salary bonus for staff who are bilingual in Spanish and English. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be AECT Qualified for the State of Colorado.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Willingness to participate in courses and trainings focused on child development and early childhood education.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting and implementing the program curriculum to meet the needs of the children and the families in the program alongside the teacher and the Preschool Director.
- Provides care to children ranging in the ages from 2 1/2-6 years old.
- Ensures a clean, safe and friendly environment for all participants.
- Develops positive relationships with children and parents, resulting in the development of friendships, Y advocates and volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned.
