Soddy Elementary is a PreK-5 school located in Soddy Daisy, TN, just north of Chattanooga. Our school community is a respectful, accepting, and safe learning environment where engagement and knowledge lead to the success of the whole child. We are a community school with great parent participation and engagement. We are focused on creating an inclusive environment for our students. We are looking for teachers who believe that all students can learn and who want to share and collaborate with their colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
• Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
• Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
• Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection
