About The Position

This is a Full-time position for a cook to carry out meal preparation, from initial preparation to final meal product. Must know and comply with all agency and health regulations and ensure meals are prepared properly and served on schedule. The Full-Time Cook will report to the Food Service Supervisor for weekly schedule and job duty assignment.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer/client service.
  • Current food handlers permit or able to obtain this permit
  • Must be able to read and follow basic instructions/directions and follow company rules
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to self-direct with limited supervision to complete job duties efficiently
  • Must have organizational abilities to order and sort product.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to handle an upset client in a professional manner.
  • Experience in food and beverage (F&B) safety and preparation, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform clients and staff of menu.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food and food products in accordance with company policy and health department regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations are met.
  • Prevent food waste by rotating old stock and prepare only the amount of perishable foods necessary to serve the number of clients in-house.
  • Deliver superior service and maximize client satisfaction.
  • Respond respectfully to clients.
  • Assist with daily and special event food preparation and menu planning.
  • Maintain inventory for food and household supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned
