About The Position

This position is responsible for performing maintenance service and repair on hot line kitchen equipment and cold line refrigeration systems. Participate in cross training program to lift skills and awareness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent but not required.
  • Trade School and/or a combination of three (3) to six (6) years’ experience of working with commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Completed an apprenticeship and or formal training in refrigeration and electricity.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance of gas kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, commercial kitchen equipment, and any or all kitchen equipment required.
  • Diagnoses, maintains, services, repairs and replaces faulty kitchen machinery and equipment.
  • Installs commercial kitchen equipment and systems as required.
  • Relocate and expand existing food service (kitchen) and refrigeration systems, as required.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install electrical wiring, controls and piping according to specifications and code.
  • Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with safe and efficient use of a variety of kitchen diagnostic and repair equipment.
  • Stores tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or broken tools following established procedures.
  • Follows established safety standards while using tools and equipment.
  • Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork.
  • Receive and complete work orders.
  • Knowledge in the operation of electrical control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference materials.
  • Ability to operate a computer and assigned software.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Maintains a safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storage area.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, local, and tribal regulations.
  • Understands and complies with Maintenance Department and Tribal policies and procedures.
  • Participates in training programs provided by the organization and follow OSHA safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency conditions, such as fires and power failures.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
