About The Position

As a Kitchen Prep:

You are a team player. You help prepare the kitchen by chopping vegetables, making salads, and assembling entrees. You assist with tasks like storing leftover food, washing dishes and cleaning and emptying trash.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required
• 1 plus year(s) of experience in a high-volume establishment is required
• Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed following uniform standards
• Must have attention for detail, and a passion for serving Guests
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time; capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.; ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow provided prep list daily to prep items needed for the shift and beyond
• Label, date and stock items ensuring all ingredients are organized and easily accessible in walk-in cooler.
• Accurately measure all ingredients according to spec
• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
• Prepare all salad, guacamole and various menu items per recipes and specifications
• Basic cooking tasks such as parboiling food, reducing sauces, and preparing simple dishes like salads
• Set up salad prep cooler and salad station with proper inserts using fresh product needed for shifts
• Maintaining cleanliness by keeping the kitchen areas, utensils and items being used clean and sanitized
• Maintain a sanitizer bucket at station for each shift
• Assist other cooks with tasks needed to open stations properly
• Perform duties specified by Management
• Set up and season the tortilla griddle with oil, prep corn & flour tortillas as needed
• Assist all cooks and expeditors with kitchen clean-up.
