About The Position
Chambliss Center for Children , an early childhood education center, is looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team! This role involves supporting our kitchen staff with daily meal services and food preparation for the children in our care. It also involves unloading and stocking food deliveries. No kitchen experience required - just a positive attitude and ability to keep busy throughout your shift. Chambliss Center for Children is an equal employment opportunity employer. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background screen and be cleared to work around children.
- Able to stand, walk, lift (20 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds occasionally) throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Responsibilities
- Set up food carts and plates for meal service
- Prepare and portion snacks
- Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Transport food carts to and from classrooms
- Unload and stock food deliveries
- Assist with general kitchen tasks as needed
