This position is accountable for creating, managing, and implementing a taxonomy utilized within the department to help ensure that critical knowledge, information, and controlled departmental documents are widely accessible and usable via the Information Resource Center. In addition, this position coordinates with department offices and bureaus to determine information resources needs and determine acquisition timing and quantity. This position works with communities of practice within the department, especially non-engineering staff, to identify information needs for their areas of expertise and develop and advance acquisition strategies. This position develops the annual budget for memberships and subscriptions and technical reference publications (e.g.,standards, codes, etc.). This position manages the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) committee appointments and oversees procurement and storage of AASHTO electronic publications.Essential Functions
