About The Position

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Schedule: Every other Saturday, 5:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs is Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is Preferred
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
