About The Position

Christian Hospital has a PRN Lab Assoc III position opportunity available. If you have at least 2 or more years of Phlebotomy experience, along with great communication skills and like taking initiative, this position is for you! Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2-5 years experience
No Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
