The position entails the use of all lab equipment and tools including, CNC milling and lathe machines, EDM, CNC plasma table, tensile machines, vertical and horizontal band saw, hydraulic presses, broaches, grinders and various amounts of precision measuring, and hand tools. The role also requires the candidate to complete forklift and crane certifications. The candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years working in manufacturing environment
  • 2 years engineering, technical or machine tool degree
