About The Position
Under the direction of the Lab Supervisor, the Lab Technician will to be responsible for the safe and accurate sampling , and testing of aggregate and asphalt samples procured at various aggregate pits , plants and c onstruction s ite s.
Requirements
- Knowledge of a ggregate, and asphalt products and industry quality standards .
- I ntermediate computer skills .
- W illing ness to develop knowledge of all a ggregate and a sphalt lab testing equipment .
Nice To Haves
- Two Year s of a ggregate and a sphalt QA or QC Testing Preferred.
- Certifi cation in WAQTC A g TT (Aggregate ) and A s TT ( Asphalt ) preferred .
- P roficiency in Microsoft and E xcel preferred .
Responsibilities
- A ssist in testing of samples in the labs for production and shipping samples of aggregate and asphalt .
- Travel to various projects, aggregate pits , plants and labs to procure samples.
- Split samples and perform necessary testing.
- Report results to plant and supervisors .
- Perform data filing and quality assurance sample storage.
- I nput tracking data into the lab database.
- Ensure that the work environment is safe and health y at all times .
- Travel required.
