Summary Perform tests in the plastics lab using laboratory equipment to test raw materials, blended materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Adheres to the Quality Management System.

Requirements

  • Quality Control Analysis: Job requires ability to conduct tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality.
  • Follows Processes: Ensures processes are followed to guarantee repeatability.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Verifies work to ensure accuracy and completeness, performs tasks with care, and diligently attends to detail.
  • Self-Management: Manages own time, assesses and prioritizes with little to no supervision.
  • Communication: Able to thoroughly and effectively communicate processes followed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in a laboratory environment (Preferred).
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
  • Basic mechanical skills. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.
  • Basic computer knowledge and capability.

Responsibilities

  • Procure and set up equipment, instruments, and materials used in performing scheduled tests or experiments.
  • Perform a variety of technical duties in the laboratory including, performing routine tests, examinations, and assistance in the set-up of experiments and the collection and logging of data.
  • Compile data and reports out-of-specification materials.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products.
  • Operate plastic injection mold machine for testing of plastic.
  • Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment.
  • Clean and sterilize laboratory and laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of routine laboratory records.
  • Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
