About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Laboratory Assistant II Location: Northwest Community Hospital Part time or Full time: Full time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, rotating weekends and holidays What you will do: Evaluating blood, urine, and other specimens for acceptability for testing at outside laboratories. Preparing specimens for transport to outside performing laboratories following individual laboratory requirements Monitoring and placing supply orders for replenishing laboratory supplies from performing lab to ensure adequate inventory of materials for main hospital off-site collection sites and client sites. Assisting with order interpretation of testing performed by outside laboratories. Accurately recording and document specimen information, test results, and patient data in laboratory information system. Maintaining organized records and ensuring data confidentiality and security. Assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory compliance. Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA and CAP. Assisting laboratory technologists and scientists with various tasks, including sample preparation, data analysis. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations and workflows. Maintaining and cleaning laboratory work environment. What you will need: High School Required Certification: NA Experience: 1 Year laboratory experience, with strong understanding of laboratory processes and safety protocols required. Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong customer focused mindset, ability to handle changing priorities and urgent requests, professional phone and email etiquette. Requirements

  • High School Required
