Your day to day as a Laboratory Assistant As a Laboratory Assistant at LABTECH DIAGNOSTICS, you will play a crucial role in supporting our testing personnel by processing and testing specimens in compliance with our high standards of excellence. Your essential functions will include performing tests as directed by supervisors while adhering to all laboratory policies and procedures, particularly regarding patient confidentiality and privacy. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and timely workflow, following Universal Precautions diligently. Wearing the required uniform and safety equipment, you will also engage in ongoing training on Bloodborne Pathogens, HIPAA, OSHA, and required safety protocols. Your computer proficiency will facilitate accurate data entry in Life Points, while regular cleaning and organizing of stations and specimen storage will ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Additionally, you will manage inventory upon delivery and ensure biohazard waste is properly handled prior to pick-up, upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
