About The Position

NEW Water Laboratory Intern Do you want to gain hands-on experience and expand your knowledge in laboratory testing and analysis? NEW Water, the brand of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District, is seeking a Laboratory Intern to support daily laboratory operations, assist with wastewater sampling and analysis, and gain hands-on experience alongside industry professionals. Details about the position: NEW Water is looking for a Laboratory Intern who will be responsible for performing analysis of wastewater and sludge samples in support of plant operations, the Billing Committee, the Pretreatment Program, and the Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program. This role will gain proficiency in cleaning Nutrient Laboratory equipment, preparing chemicals, discarding samples, and using LIMS software at a basic level. Approximate start date for this position is May 2026 or when schedule permits. This is a year-round position with part-time hours during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Education or equivalent + 1 year post high school education
  • Student must be enrolled in college course work in lab technology, chemistry, biology or related field.
