Currently, Aquatech has an immediate need for an Engineering Intern in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role provides hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting pilot equipment, collecting and analyzing process data, and supporting scale-up efforts for industrial separation systems. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a fast-paced applied engineering environment focused on real-world deployment.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of mass balances and fluid systems
• Experience with excel and additional data analysis tools.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or related water technology field with graduation expected no later than June 2027.
• Research experience from coursework or previous internship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of pilot-scale process equipment
• Support integrated system testing and troubleshooting activities
• Collect, log, and analyze process data (flows, pressures, temperatures, chemical dosing, etc.)
• Support mass balance calculations and performance tracking
• Assist with laboratory sample preparation and analytical testing
• Help maintain equipment, organize lab space, and update SOPs
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to safe laboratory practices
• Support preparation of technical summaries and internal reports
