About The Position

As the Lab Supervisor, you will lead a team within a designated laboratory section, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. This role blends technical expertise with strong leadership to drive operational excellence in pathology services.

Requirements

American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency (NCA) certification
Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Minimum of 5 years as a Clinical Medical Technologist

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Supervising laboratory staff and overseeing daily operations within your area of responsibility
Ensuring adequate staffing, quality diagnostic work, and adherence to established procedures
Performing laboratory testing as needed to maintain technical proficiency
Overseeing quality control programs, proficiency testing, and compliance with accrediting agencies
Coordinating updates to laboratory procedures, evaluating and implementing new equipment and processes
Providing technical consultation and resolving complex laboratory issues
Leading employee training, education, and performance evaluations
Managing inventory control, ordering supplies, and contributing to budget planning
Promoting a collaborative, customer-focused team culture
Delegating assignments to ensure timely and accurate patient testing
Providing after-hours support as needed
