About The Position

Laboratory Technician – Mt. Vernon, IN This is a salaried, non-exempt level position. Job Summary: Under limited supervision, conducts in-process and finished product testing to determine adherence to established specifications of quality and purity. Essential Job Functions: Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, quality control, and minor research. Test and analyze products such as flour, feed and wheat products to determine if product meets plant specifications prior to release. Release within specification vessels and report out of specification vessels. Document results of tests, readings, etc. in Total Lab Client (TLC). Complete Certificates of Analyses. Prepare chemical solutions for use in the lab. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and related field instrumentation. Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA, and employer standards and guidelines. Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements. Other duties as assigned.
