About The Position

Performs various unskilled tasks that are associated with heavy highway asphalt milling and paving construction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Valid Driver's License with transportation to and from job sites.
• Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
• Walking or standing may occupy the entire day.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.
• Overtime work is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous heavy highway paving construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Receive daily instruction from the project foreman and/or superintendent.
• Shoveling, raking, and spreading of stone and asphalt millings.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the jobsite and all designated milling and paving areas as required.
• Assist other milling and paving crew members as needed.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
